Third Debate

The main point I got from last night was the fall of John McCain. In two years, he has fallen from one of this country's most respected Senators to just plain pandering for votes. I respect him greatly as a person. He has been one of the most dedicated public servants in this nation's history. He would've been an amazing president if he had been elected over Bush in 2000. We just need a new direction. I (and many other Americans) just can't believe a Republican can fix our nation's enormous problems: a $500 billion dollar deficit (when Bush inherited office, it was a surplus), struggles abroad (a worsening situation in Afghanistan and thousands of deaths in Iraq), a major financial/credit crisis, and countless other problems. I hope McCain will work with Obama in the Senate, because its going to take more than one person to solve this nation's problems.
